We are excited to announce an opening for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor within Vistry Services, responsible for overseeing various projects across multiple regions.

Your Role:
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe execution, planning, and evaluation of diverse projects in the construction and maintenance sectors. Your expertise will help uphold compliance with Vistry Group's Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Policies, Standards, and applicable legislation.

Your Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Define the responsibilities of Vistry Group concerning CDM Regulations for each project and collaborate with management to ensure compliance.
  • Implement policies and procedures to mitigate risks and foster a positive SHE culture.
  • Promote Vistry Group's behavioral safety approach through site inspections and management meetings.
  • Assist in the effective use of the Group's ActivSHEQ database at the site level.
  • Support SHE line management in adhering to Group SHE Standards and address any compliance issues.
  • Participate in SHE Management Reviews to enhance performance and achieve SHE objectives.
  • Monitor and report on performance against the Group's Sustainability Route Maps.
  • Actively advocate for SHE practices across the organization.
  • Engage with external professionals to promote Vistry Group's commitment to SHE.
  • Provide expert guidance for pre-qualification and tender documentation.
  • Help prepare construction SHE Plans and review them regularly.
  • Conduct monthly SHE reviews on all sites to ensure adherence to SHE Policies and Standards.
  • Address unsafe practices immediately and provide necessary support to site management.
  • Deliver SHE information through briefings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Compile SHE data for monthly reporting and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify training needs and deliver safety, health, and environmental instructions on-site.
  • Assist in reviewing contractors' method statements and monitor their implementation.
  • Ensure projects meet Vistry Group SHE standards through effective communication and training.
  • Collaborate with management on safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of SHE Management Systems and suggest improvements.
