IT Change Manager

We are seeking an IT Change Manager to enhance our IT Service Operations. This role involves refining and advancing the Group's IT Change Management protocols. You will oversee the daily change activity pipeline, ensuring thorough due diligence and effective controls are established to facilitate necessary changes in a secure and risk-averse manner.

Collaboration with team members focused on Major Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Transition will be essential to support the strategic objectives of the overall team.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Change Manager:

  • Develop, articulate, and implement practices and processes vital for effective change enablement.
  • Establish and maintain a repository of standard changes to promote agile, swift, and effective modifications while minimizing risk.
  • Introduce, assess, and publicize Change KPIs to illustrate compliance and performance across the IT department.
  • Organize and lead reviews of failed changes to ensure lessons are learned and appropriate actions are recorded in relevant control systems.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews for major incidents to confirm compliance with change protocols.
  • Engage with key stakeholders at all organizational levels to communicate change objectives, gather insights, and foster support.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project teams and leaders on best practices and techniques in change management.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of change initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Act as a liaison among project teams, service management, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Strong grasp of ITIL principles and best practices.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an ITIL process role, with a minimum of 2 years in Change Management.
  • Proven experience in developing best practice processes, policies, and procedures for the functional area.
  • Experience in creating executive-level summaries and reports to a high standard.

Personal Attributes:

  • Skilled in engaging with and influencing multi-tier management.
  • Proficient in building successful relationships with stakeholders involved in the change management process, including senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in IT Service Management, such as ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation.
