An exceptional opportunity has arisen within the Group Risk Team for an IT Change Risk Manager. The Connells Group is currently navigating significant transformation and change initiatives essential for fulfilling its strategic objectives and enhancing its technological frameworks and solutions.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing change risk with a concentrated emphasis on technology transformation and change initiatives. You will work in close collaboration with the three lines of defense to ensure the effective implementation of changes.

This position entails monitoring the risk associated with individual programs and compiling a comprehensive overview of the change risk profile for the Connells Group.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a robust second-line change risk oversight strategy, along with supporting frameworks and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluating program and change risks as a subject matter expert, particularly in technology transformation projects.
  • Generating detailed management information and reports regarding the risk profile of key change initiatives and the overall risk exposure to the Group stemming from these changes.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to ensure expert input and challenge in non-technology facets of change.
  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of specific programs and change outcomes, assessing governance structures, solution design, testing, business readiness, delivery, and implementation.
  • Engaging with management to promptly address potential issues, providing structured feedback, and driving improvements.
  • Producing reports and management information for relevant groups, committees, and the Board as required.

The essential competencies for this role include:

Skills:

  • Professional certification in program/change management (e.g., CCMP, PMI, MSP) or IT audit (CISA) with extensive experience in IT and change risk assessment across infrastructure, applications, and programs/projects.
  • Proven expertise in technology risk and change risk management methodologies.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of IT risk, technology transformation initiatives, and technology change assurance.

Experience:

  • Prior roles encompassing IT risk, transformation, and change responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience in overseeing large-scale technology transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing reports suitable for committees and executive-level discussions.
