As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing operational support to the Strategic Road Network, working on technical aspects of the nationwide telecommunications equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd line remote and in-person IT support for End User Computer environments, software distribution, and software packaging.
  • Learning how to document existing IT solutions and processes.
  • Identifying improvements to existing IT solutions and processes.
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading, and supporting hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers, and telephony.
  • Incident, Service Request, and Asset management.
  • On-site support and touch labor for other ICT-related services.
  • Implementing and supporting solutions for the End User Compute environment.
  • Undertaking computer system planning and design in conjunction with ICT partners.
  • Monitoring and analyzing computer system performance and capacity, and providing recommendations for improving the computing infrastructure.
  • Learning about and working with ICT partners to provide technical support for the resolution of complex faults, especially where the root cause of the issue is not clear when dealing with integrated solutions from multiple partners.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about ICT and/or IT solutions, and is motivated to pursue a career within this technical field.

We don't require individuals with experience, as we will provide full training in all aspects of the role, including how to use tools, equipment, software, and IT management systems.

  • Full UK driving license (desirable).
  • Must be over the age of 18 by January 2025.
  • The qualification you gain will be a Level 3 Information Communications Technician.
  • Our chosen training provider, InteQual, will support you in obtaining your qualification.
  • You will work in an Agile model from both our office environments and remotely from home.
