About Deep Science Ventures

We are a venture creator that combines scientific knowledge and founder-type scientists to build high-impact ventures. Our goal is to create a future where both humans and the planet thrive.

We operate in four sectors: Climate, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, and Computation. In the Climate sector, we focus on driving and accelerating the net-zero carbon transition by developing innovations in carbon mitigation and removal technologies.

The Role

As an Associate, you will work closely with our Director of Climate, Head of Scoping, and other team members to identify opportunity areas for new venture development. You will research and analyze systemic issues, recruit multidisciplinary teams, and drive the venture creation process from idea generation to pre-seed and seed investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify new opportunity areas for climate-related ventures
  • Recruit and lead teams of founder-type scientists
  • Drive the venture creation process from idea generation to investment
  • Support fundraising and business development efforts
Requirements
  • Deep technical understanding of disciplines related to climate change, such as chemistry, chemical engineering, or electrical engineering
  • Demonstrated interest in climate tech and applied science
  • Experience in product development and first principles thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcome-oriented projects
