We are a venture creator that combines scientific knowledge and founder-type scientists to build high-impact ventures. Our mission is to create a future where both humans and the planet thrive.
The RoleWe are seeking an Associate to work in close partnership with our Director of Climate, Head of Scoping, and other team members. As an Associate, you will focus on systemic analysis of opportunity areas for new venture development, identifying technologies and ventures that should exist but don't.
Key Responsibilities- Research and identify new opportunity areas for building ventures that tackle climate change and the net-zero carbon transition;
- Recruit a team of multidisciplinary founder-type scientists and work together on venture creation;
- Drive the venture creation process from idea generation to pre-seed and seed investments;
- Support fundraising and business development efforts for the sector.
- Deep technical understanding of disciplines related to climate applications, such as chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering;
- Demonstrated interest in climate tech, including negative emissions technologies, green chemicals, and decarbonizing transport;
- Demonstrated interest in applied science and early-stage commercialization;
- Experience in product development is a plus;
- Demonstrable first principles and creative thinking;
- Demonstrated level of achievement, taking own initiative and delivering outcome-oriented projects from start to finish.
