Accounts Payable Manager

A leading recruitment agency, Marks Sattin, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their team.
As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing a team of 6 and overseeing the day-to-day operations of accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Plan and coordinate tasks, review work product, and evaluate team performance to ensure efficient operations.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with the Head of Accounts Payable to establish procedures and guidelines to mitigate the risk of theft and fraud.
- Internal Controls: Ensure effective internal controls are in place to safeguard financial transactions and assets.
- Process Improvement: Assist in establishing procedures and guidelines for accounts payable processes, including internal controls and workflow optimization.
- Work Distribution: Ensure a fair and equal distribution of work among team members.
- Payment Processing: Oversee the preparation and processing of electronic transfers and payments.
- Expense Management: Process staff expenses and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Aged Creditor Reviews: Conduct regular reviews of aged creditors to ensure timely payment and minimize outstanding balances.
- BACS Payment Processing: Double-check and post BACS-related royalty headers, authorize payment runs, and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Review and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned by the Head of Accounts Payable.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager and a strong understanding of financial operations and internal controls.
