About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Commercial Officer to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our South Management Team, you will be responsible for providing full commercial support to our Regional Director and General Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, secure, and manage long-term and short-term contracts for commercial waste, recyclates, and other materials across various sites in the South of England.
  • Conduct robust market analysis through effective benchmarking and performance monitoring of third-party suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Oversee due diligence audits for third-party suppliers to ensure Veolia's compliance with company policies and protocols.
  • Manage a Business Development Executive responsible for sales of compost across multiple sites in the South.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to grow the business through partnerships, acquisitions, or new initiatives.
  • Analyze sales and other reports to provide insights on adjustments and resolve issues with contracts and commercial operations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the waste industry (not essential).
  • Experience in producing and presenting financial models and business plans.
