Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Orthopaedic Nurse to join our dynamic team within the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in our 28-bedded mixed-sex orthopaedic ward, which caters to individuals undergoing both elective and trauma surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Orthopaedic Nurse, you will:

  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities, fostering a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.
  • Support the Ward Manager in the operational oversight of the nursing team, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing the patient journey.
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism and teamwork, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
