About the Role

As a Strategic Business Growth Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the direction of our business development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting directly to the Director/Office Head.
  • Leading the New Business Team to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Identifying and meeting with potential clients and referrers, focusing on profitable projects.
  • Maintaining and nurturing existing business relationships, serving as the primary contact.
  • Collaborating with the Director/Office Head to set and review targets and KPIs, pinpointing areas for growth.
  • Engaging in networking activities to expand our reach.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on our services and industry trends.
  • Monitoring conversion rates with introducers and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Working closely with the Marketing Team to develop market strategies and plan future projects.
  • Performing additional duties as required to support the team.
  • Assisting Fee Earners in sourcing new business opportunities and achieving targets.
Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess the following attributes, skills, and experience:

  • Comprehension of the significance of business development within a legal framework.
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proven track record of driving new business success.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and comfort in client interactions.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet targets.
  • Team-oriented with outstanding communication skills and enthusiasm.
  • Highly organized, methodical, and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Sales background is preferred.
  • Oversight of service level agreements (SLAs) with introducers.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and case management systems.
  • Collaboration with Fee Earners/Office Heads regarding relationships and capacity management.
  • Management of referral fee payments as necessary.
