Job Opportunity

We are pleased to announce an opening for a Claims Processing Specialist within our Construction & Engineering division. This position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to contribute to a well-established team. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to our London City office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of new claims, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, establishing files, and conducting risk assessments and triaging.
  • Collaborate closely with Adjusters to support investigations, claims management, and validation inquiries.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of claims files to enhance diary management and facilitate proactive claims handling from initiation to resolution.
  • Assist in managing Adjuster caseloads during periods of absence.
  • Engage with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service, acting as a secondary point of contact when necessary.
  • Support the creation of technical reports for Adjusters, adhering to professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to the preparation of co-insurers' apportionment spreadsheets.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards for time reporting and billing processes.
  • Develop and generate management information for clients and internal use, including performance metrics and data integrity reports.
  • Uphold company standards regarding all technical and operational policies, including data protection and information security.
  • Provide account management support as needed.
  • Assist with incoming calls and resolve queries effectively.
  • Handle invoicing and other ad hoc tasks as required.

Candidate Profile - Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a claims technician, including effective caseload management.
  • A strong interest in construction-related insurance matters, coupled with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Organized, methodical, and analytical approach to work, with a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Able to manage workload independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Motivated to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
