Opportunity Overview
We are pleased to announce an opening for a Claims Processing Specialist within our Construction & Engineering division. This position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to contribute to a well-established team. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to our office.
Key Responsibilities
As a Claims Processing Specialist, your duties will encompass:
- Managing new claims administration, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, and conducting risk assessments.
- Collaborating closely with Adjusters to assist in investigations, claims management, and validation inquiries.
- Overseeing the lifecycle of claims files to enhance diary management and support proactive claims handling from initiation to resolution.
- Providing assistance in managing Adjuster workloads during their absence.
- Communicating with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service, acting as a secondary contact when necessary.
- Supporting the creation of technical reports for Adjusters, adhering to professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timelines.
- Assisting in the preparation of co-insurers' apportionment documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with internal standards for time reporting and billing processes.
- Developing and generating management information for clients and internal use, including performance metrics and data integrity reports.
- Upholding company standards regarding technical and operational policies, including data protection and information security.
- Providing account management support as needed.
- Handling incoming calls and resolving queries.
- Managing invoicing processes.
- Performing other related tasks as required.
Candidate Profile - Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a claims technician, with a focus on caseload management.
- A strong interest in construction-related insurance and a commitment to professional development.
- An organized, methodical, and analytical approach to work, with a strong emphasis on quality.
- Ability to manage workload independently while being a collaborative team member.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Motivated to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Willingness to travel as required.
