About the Role
As a Supported Living Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality support across various locations, combining community and office responsibilities. Your duties will encompass supervising staff performance, managing employee schedules, and formulating key team strategies and policies.

You will address incidents and safeguarding matters, guarantee the effective execution of care plans, and uphold strict adherence to established protocols. Additionally, you will assist with staff onboarding and collaborate with management on care plan modifications and risk assessments.

Key Duties
You may be required to provide support in any location appropriate to meet the needs of the service.

Mileage allowance available.

Assist management in conducting regular supervision meetings to review staff progress, tackle challenges, and offer ongoing training and development opportunities in line with established protocols.

Collaborate with managers to develop, maintain, and monitor employee rota schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in placement needs, workload, staffing levels, or other priorities as determined by management.

Support the line manager in the development and implementation of team meetings, strategic plans, policies, and procedures to ensure effective operations in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.

Be on call to respond to all incidents and safeguarding concerns following established protocols and procedures. (On-call rota is flexible and assigned to Senior Management and Support staff weekly.)

Develop and ensure that care/support plans are effectively implemented and regularly reviewed to address evolving needs and promote client independence and quality of life.

Assist management in overseeing the quality control and assurance of submitted reports.

Ensure staff maintain strict adherence to established rules and procedures at all placements, ensuring consistency and integrity throughout by reviewing packages and performing spot checks.

Liaise with management and HR to assist with the induction process for new staff members, ensuring that all recruits undergo comprehensive training and have the necessary resources to complete their induction.

Work collaboratively with management in making informed decisions regarding any changes to care plans and risk assessments, including during emergencies.


Requirements
Self-employed individuals are required.
Full UK driving licence is required.
Strong knowledge in safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety is required.
Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Experience working with children and young people with mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs such as Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties is required.
Passionate, positive, and caring individuals dedicated to supporting children and young people in residential settings are required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team is crucial.
Skills in British Sign Language (BSL) or knowledge of multi-sensory impairments and learning difficulties is preferred.
Restrained Training or Deprivation of Liberty (DOLs) training is preferred.
Autism Training is preferred.
