Bedfordshire Supported Housing Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Community Support Worker to join our growing team.

As a Senior Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals within their own homes across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. You will lead and mentor a team of Community Support Workers, ensuring they deliver high-quality person-centered care that empowers our service users.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and supervision to a team of Community Support Workers.
  • Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, upholding our core values.
  • Deliver direct person-centered care to a diverse group of service users.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources and engaging in meaningful activities.
  • Develop strong relationships with external healthcare professionals, such as GPs, social workers, and community nurses.
  • Act as a key worker for a designated group of service users, conducting regular reviews and assessments.
  • Accompany service users to appointments, assist with shopping, and provide practical support with daily tasks.
  • Assist with personal care, medication management, and light household chores.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced individual who is passionate about providing exceptional care. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong leadership qualities.

  • Proven experience in caring for individuals with diverse needs, including mental health issues, physical health conditions, learning disabilities, and dementia.
  • A relevant qualification such as an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent management skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A full driving license and the ability to travel within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas is essential.
