Job Title: School Office Support

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient School Office Support to join our team at Aspire People. As a key member of our education team, you will provide administrative support to our schools, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a warm welcome to visitors, including parents, contractors, and delivery staff.
  • Deal effectively with telephone calls, passing on messages as required.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures, issuing passes and lanyards to visitors, and checking DBS information.
  • Communicate with parents regarding school life, receiving and passing on information between parents and teachers.
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy and literature and forms are updated and replenished.
  • Receive and sign for all packages and deliveries.
  • Record and post all outgoing mail.
  • Perform general administration duties, including collating registers and checking absences.
  • Provide first-day calling to parents of absent pupils.
  • Maintain and update school information, records, and databases.
  • Assist with the delivery of stationery, materials, and resources to classes.
  • Assist with arrangements for visits by school nurse, photographer, etc.
  • Receive and record money on behalf of the school.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., administration, education).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
