We are seeking a highly organized and efficient School Office Support to join our team at Aspire People. As a key member of our education team, you will provide administrative support to our schools, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a warm welcome to visitors, including parents, contractors, and delivery staff.
- Deal effectively with telephone calls, passing on messages as required.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, issuing passes and lanyards to visitors, and checking DBS information.
- Communicate with parents regarding school life, receiving and passing on information between parents and teachers.
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy and literature and forms are updated and replenished.
- Receive and sign for all packages and deliveries.
- Record and post all outgoing mail.
- Perform general administration duties, including collating registers and checking absences.
- Provide first-day calling to parents of absent pupils.
- Maintain and update school information, records, and databases.
- Assist with the delivery of stationery, materials, and resources to classes.
- Assist with arrangements for visits by school nurse, photographer, etc.
- Receive and record money on behalf of the school.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., administration, education).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of organization and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
