About the role

The Senior Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to the Corporate Leadership Team at North Northamptonshire Council. This involves coordinating executive support, managing correspondence, and handling member and MP enquiries.

Key responsibilities

  1. Act as primary support officer to an Executive Director, providing support and assistance as needed.
  2. Review and filter correspondence, exercising judgement to direct it to the appropriate officers.
  3. Undertake research and project development work on behalf of the CLT.
  4. Deal with member and MP enquiries, coordinating responses with relevant officers.
  5. Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and draft minutes as requested.
  6. Manage the time commitments of the CLT, liaising with other CLT support staff and senior managers.
  7. Support colleagues in the Executive Support Team as needed.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have a recognised qualification in business administration, such as RSA, OCR, or BTEC. You will also be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in an executive support or managerial environment is essential, as is excellent communication and time management skills.
