**Job Summary**

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Critical Care Directorate as a part-time Locum Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment, providing high-quality care to patients in need.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work as a part-time Locum Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine, providing expert care to patients in our Critical Care Directorate.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to enhance our services.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students and junior doctors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions.

**Requirements**

  • Be on the GMC Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR (Combined Programme) due within 3 months of interview date.
  • Hold a postgraduate ICM qualification, such as a Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
  • Have echocardiography qualifications, including Ultrasound qualification (CUSIC competent).
  • Have broad experience in adult critical care, including experience of working in specialty critical care, such as neurosurgery, trauma.
  • Be familiar with inter-hospital transfer of critically ill patients and have experience of working in a major trauma centre / Pre-hospital emergency medicine.
  • Have evidence of teaching medical students and junior doctors and participation in clinical audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical practice.
