Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our neonatal team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert neonatal care to patients in our intensive care unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and families to identify their needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for healthcare staff and students.
- Current registration as a Neonatal Nurse with the relevant professional body.
- Significant experience in neonatal nursing, preferably in an intensive care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Knowledge of family-centered care principles and practices.
