About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our team at the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to neonates in our tertiary surgical neonatal intensive care unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain excellent clinical standards of nursing practice and staff development.
  • Act as a mentor and preceptor for junior staff and students.
  • Take charge of the team/ward/department on a regular basis.
  • Provide cover for any area specified.
Requirements
  • Current First Level Registration (Child Branch)/RSCN/RGN.
  • Qualified in Speciality(Neonatal HD and ITU Certificate and NLS).
  • Significant experience in Neonatal Nursing.
  • Evidence of expertise in Shift management.
  • Experience in change management and managing Clinical Risk.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Mentorship.
  • Degree/Diploma in nursing.
  • Experience in writing educational packages.
