Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the intensive care unit, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring best practices in critical care medicine.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students and junior doctors, promoting excellence in critical care medicine.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives, driving innovation and advancing the field of critical care medicine.

Requirements
  • On Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR (CP) due within 3 months of interview date.
  • Postgraduate ICM qualification e.g. FICM, DICM, EDIC or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in specialty critical care e.g. Cardiac.
  • Familiarity with inter-hospital transfer of critically ill patients.
  • Familiarity of ultrasound and/or Echo.
  • Experience of working in a cardiogenic shock/ECMO centre.
