Senior Residential Conveyancer


Position Overview

Litt Recruitment is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Residential Conveyancer to join our esteemed client’s Residential Conveyancing Department. This pivotal role involves direct reporting to the Head of Private Client and encompasses the management of all facets of residential property transactions. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in providing exceptional guidance and support to clients throughout the conveyancing process while mentoring and developing a team of Conveyancing Paralegals and Assistants.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Residential Conveyancer, you will oversee and manage all elements of residential property transactions. This includes delivering thorough advice and support to clients, conducting title investigations, and supervising the drafting of contracts, search reports, mortgage documentation, and property transfers. You will ensure timely updates to clients, solicitors, and estate agents, while also mentoring Conveyancing Paralegals and Assistants to uphold high standards of work. Furthermore, you will manage non-standard correspondence and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering and data protection protocols.


Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant experience in residential conveyancing, with the capability to represent a diverse clientele confidently.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and compliance with legal standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective file management practices.
  • Proven ability to delegate, supervise, and mentor team members successfully.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and strong computer skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, emphasizing customer service and teamwork.
  • Self-driven with a proactive, positive approach and the ability to work autonomously.


Position Details

  • Salary: Up to £55,000, based on experience.
  • Location: Hartlepool, with complimentary parking available at select sites.
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
