Job Summary:

Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced lawyer to join its Legal Services Department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in property, planning, and commercial law, with the ability to manage a small team and provide expert advice to the Council.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a small team dealing with property, planning, and commercial matters
• Provide expert advice on planning and environmental issues
• Supervise the team dealing with the purchase and sale of commercial property
• Advise on complex contractual matters
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support the Council's goals
