Our client is a reputable EPC Contractor and Developer specializing in Solar projects, with a significant presence in various international markets.

Role Overview:

The Solar Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing an internal project team as they prepare for construction contract finalizations. This role involves close collaboration with the development and procurement teams to ensure all planning conditions are met and necessary documentation is prepared.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the internal project team through the pre-construction phase.
  • Collaborate with the development team to fulfill planning conditions.
  • Assist the procurement team in contract preparation.
  • Prepare essential pre-construction information and health, safety, and environmental documentation.
  • Develop and maintain the pre-construction risk register, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure contractor proposals align with project requirements.
  • Fulfill client obligations under construction design management regulations.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage construction contracts and oversee various project packages.
  • Handle client responsibilities, including managing planning variations and coordinating equipment provisions.
  • Monitor and document contractual variations and time extensions.
  • Regularly review and update key project management documents.
  • Coordinate engineering resources to implement commissioning and energization plans.
  • Work with the commercial operations team on revenue readiness activities.
  • Support pre-qualification for the Capacity Market.
  • Ensure the Asset Manager is prepared for operational responsibilities.
  • Track project budgets and forecast future expenditures.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in managing the construction delivery of Solar projects.
  • Strong project management skills with a proactive approach to health, safety, and quality.
  • Commercially minded with a solid understanding of construction safety and regulations.
  • Experience in managing contractor deliverables under FIDIC, NEC, or similar contracts.
