Key Responsibilities:

Quotations Management

  • Determine pricing using established formulas and factory cost data, while taking into account historical trends and current policies.
  • Ensure the accuracy of lead times provided to clients in collaboration with the production team.
  • Engage in negotiations with clients regarding pricing, lead times, and specific order needs.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations and accurately report on any lost opportunities.

Order Processing

  • Access purchase orders, amendments, and planning schedules through customer portals.
  • Examine purchase orders and input them into the system, confirming drawing revisions, pricing, quantities, and quality standards.
  • Utilize existing part numbers from the MRP system for orders and quotations.

Customer Engagement

  • Work collaboratively with the team to effectively manage production demands to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Provide engineering details and contract drawings to clients as necessary.
  • Update customer order status reports in conjunction with the manufacturing team.
  • Address any conflicts or inquiries from customers and internal teams regarding ongoing orders and quotations.

Business Development

  • Assist in the growth of Aftermarket Service Support opportunities through customer visits and presentations for U.K. and European clients.
  • Broaden the aftermarket product range by sourcing sub-vendors for non-core offerings.

Compliance Assurance

  • Perform customer checks using Visual Compliance software and adhere to Know Your Customer protocols to ensure compliance with trade regulations.

General Responsibilities

  • Draft written communications to clients as required.
  • Keep management informed on current business issues related to inquiries and order activities.
  • Present business conditions and customer concerns in departmental meetings.
  • Participate in project teams and initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.
  • Support customer visits, training sessions, and other necessary tasks.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer interaction or sales within engineering or manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Familiarity with reciprocating compressors, bearings, pumps, valves, turbines, etc., is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Export Control and Incoterms is a plus.
  • Proficient in creating and delivering sales presentations.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.

Qualifications:

  • A technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, although a business-related degree with relevant industrial experience will also be considered.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

This position is based at our manufacturing facility.
