Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Dr Mirza & Partners. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide comprehensive support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to our clinical team, including scanning hospital letters, processing referrals, and managing stock orders.
  • Process repeat prescriptions and acute scripts, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Provide holiday cover for reception staff at both sites, as required.
  • Perform other administrative duties as allocated by the Practice Manager or GP's.
Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to members of the primary health care team, ensuring appropriate practice records are kept up to date.
  • Process reports, patient letter requests, SARs, and other administrative tasks, utilizing IGPR and other relevant systems.
  • Manage billing and invoices, orders and payments, and process AccuRx requests, System One messages, and referrals.
Confidentiality

In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with sensitive information. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will respect patient confidentiality and adhere to our practice's policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and data protection.

You will assist in promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and security of yourself and others, adhering to our practice's Health & Safety Policy, Infection Control policy, and published procedures.

You will strive to maintain quality within the practice, alerting other team members to issues of quality and risk, assessing your own performance, and contributing to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on your own and team activities.

Communication

You will recognize the importance of effective communication within the team and strive to communicate effectively with other team members, patients, and carers, recognizing people's needs for alternative methods of communication and responding accordingly.
