Become a vital part of our Geophysical Engineering Workshop Team at Boskalis as a Geophysical Equipment Technician.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in the mechanical upkeep, assembly, calibration, and repair of geophysical instruments and equipment.

As a hands-on position, it leans towards mechanical tasks, while also encompassing the testing and calibration of electronic devices.

The role may involve travel to support the mobilization of our vessels across various locations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of geophysical instruments to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Execute routine maintenance activities, including cleaning, refurbishing, and replacing worn components, while diagnosing and rectifying equipment faults.
  • Calibrate geophysical instruments to guarantee accurate measurements, maintaining detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Operate forklift trucks and manage warehouse and yard organization.
  • Assist in the mobilization of vessels from the base.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment in the workshop.

Your Qualifications:
To thrive as a Geophysical Equipment Technician, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or maintenance capacity.
  • Preferably, knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
