Job Description

As a Geophysical Engineer at Gardline, you will play a critical role in the success of our offshore geophysical operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of geophysical equipment and systems.
  • Performing routine maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with the onshore technical support team to develop and implement effective engineering solutions.
  • Providing technical assistance to environmental and geotechnical operations as needed.
  • Monitoring and quality controlling data records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Developing and operating engineering and administrative processes to support the work of the geophysical department.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant engineering experience, preferably in electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, data communications, or IT infrastructure.
  • Broad knowledge of geophysical and seismic operations.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve using initiative and creativity.
  • Dedicated work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, including technical terminology.
  • High-level IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to pass ENG-1 and STCW-95 (or recognized equivalent).
