About the Role: Assistant Director – Property and Estates Strategy

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially focused Property Leader to join our Estates and Facilities Division Senior Management Team. As the Assistant Director for Property and Estates Strategy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the management and development of our property assets.
  • Oversee a diverse team responsible for various aspects of property operations, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure financial sustainability within the department.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and address property-related needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to property management in the healthcare sector.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing budgets and financial resources within a large organization.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating diverse teams.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills at a senior management level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • A formal qualification in property management or a related field is essential.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the NHS or a similar healthcare environment.
  • Project management qualifications or experience.
  • A deep understanding of current trends and challenges facing the healthcare property sector.
