Position Overview

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Transmission Operations Support Coordinator to join our team at ENWL.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Transmission Operations Support Coordinator, you will oversee, organize, and manage the workflow for all field personnel within the Transmission South division, including fitters, jointers, linesworkers, and oil mechanics. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the successful execution of the annual Inspection and Maintenance program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Distributing tasks through the Chime system to field operatives, ensuring geographical efficiency for optimal productivity.
  • Tracking the progress of work orders completed by field teams using Chime MI, intervening as necessary to guarantee timely completion of all inspection and maintenance tasks.
  • Processing maintenance requests from engineers for G&P work, aligning jobs with the appropriately skilled teams, and issuing work orders via Chime.
  • Managing the scheduling and effective use of Transmission workers' time, including training sessions, vehicle inspections, planned and unplanned absences, and emergency work.
  • Generating comprehensive management information reports, analyzing productivity metrics, completed work volumes, and identifying trends and risks to meet departmental goals.
  • Coordinating additional work assignments as needed to support staff productivity and ensure completion of maintenance programs.
  • Creating and overseeing a plant maintenance schedule for the relevant Transmission area, ensuring accurate job bookings and conducting monthly audits for work order closures.
  • Facilitating quarterly inspections of safety equipment, ensuring results are documented appropriately.
  • Ordering necessary personal protective equipment and tools for the operational workforce.
  • Providing general administrative support as required by the Delivery Manager and Business Support Manager.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess prior experience in program coordination, work planning, or scheduling. Additionally, the following qualifications are essential:

  • Proficiency in generating complex management information reports and strong IT skills.
  • Familiarity with the electricity distribution network is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks across various business functions.
  • Strong communication abilities, particularly in handling challenging discussions.
