Electrical Field Service Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our team at DCV Technologies. As a global leader in automatic fare collection, transit information, and transit analytics solutions, we're trusted by over 200 city and regional transport authorities worldwide.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a motivated and technically-minded individual with experience in electrical/technical installation/maintenance environments. You'll work in a deadline-focused environment, meeting tight installation or fault response deadlines to support, maintain, and improve products and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fault rectification and repair of installed equipment using diagnostic processes to assess failure.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports on the Jira fault system to ensure SLAs are achieved and chargeable works are advised.
  • Upload software code and configuration to on-vehicle equipment and on-street equipment as necessary.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance of on-vehicle, on-street, Rail Validators, and radio equipment according to schedule.
  • Support and carry out bus surveys and risk assessments, producing method statements to allow a safe system of work.
  • Install on-vehicle equipment, Rail Validators, and on-street hardware.
Requirements
  • Experience within an electrical/technical installation/maintenance environment.
  • Able to work in a deadline-focused environment, meeting tight installation or fault response deadlines.
  • Competent in electrical/electronic engineering with relevant qualification or proven experience in field electronics.
What We Offer
  • 37.5 hour week working 5 out of 7 days. Some weekends may be needed. Overtime available.
