About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Delivery Driver. As the face of Tesco out on the road, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive their shopping in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering Customer Shopping Trips
    • Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized
    • Loading the van as required and checking for roadworthiness
    • Talking to customers about any changes to their order, including substitutions and offering refunds
    • Taking care of products and deliveries as if they were your own
    • Explaining to customers that they will not be charged for substitutions
    • Delivering during the customer's time slot
    • Calling customers before arriving at their property if early
    • Calling the store if running 30 or more minutes late
  • Building Relationships with Colleagues
    • Creating a positive and inclusive team environment
    • Working together to ensure our store is the best it can be for customers
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service
    • Being warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues
    • Taking time to understand customer needs and preferences
    • Acting quickly to respond to changing customer needs
  • Embracing Change and Improving Processes
    • Sharing ideas with managers and colleagues on how to improve our store for customers
    • Integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for you
Requirements
  • A UK/EU/EEA Driving License (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Able to adhere to the GB Domestic Driving Rules
