Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide personalized care to a young man with dystonic Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting his independence, and ensuring his safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Providing support with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment.
  • Monitoring seizures and implementing seizure action plans as required.
  • Engaging in community activities and therapy programs to enhance his quality of life.
  • Creating a positive and supportive environment that promotes his emotional well-being.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience working with individuals with medical conditions, particularly epilepsy.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to drive a wheelchair-adapted vehicle.
