Job Title: Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine

Medacs Healthcare is seeking an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust on a locum basis. As a key member of the acute medical workforce, you will provide expert care to patients with complex respiratory conditions, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic expertise in respiratory medicine, including acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, ensuring practical understanding of diagnoses and treatment options
  • Conduct research to improve procedures and outcomes, and contribute to the development of new techniques and equipment
  • Teach and train junior doctors and medical students, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
  • Be a GMC registered Doctor (no need to be on the Specialist Register)
  • Have relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level
  • Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (Medacs cannot offer visa sponsorship)
  • Pass an enhanced background check (DBS)
