We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated consultant to join our team in Older Persons Medicine and Frailty at Wexham Park. As a result of a comprehensive service reconfiguration, we have created new opportunities for innovative and collaborative working.

In line with our local priorities, we aim to transform services for older adults, promoting integrated care and removing boundaries between community providers and the acute Trust. Our goal is to provide exceptional clinical care in a tailored environment for older adults, particularly those with dementia.

We have a state-of-the-art older people's unit designed to meet the unique needs of this population. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can work collaboratively with our existing consultants to further develop our Acute Frailty Service. This role would suit those who are passionate about delivering integrated care and are eager to contribute to our team's success.

As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to work part-time if needed, and we will discuss the job content on an individual basis to ensure a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Requirements
  • Primary medical degree
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Full GMC Registration/on specialist register of GMC
Experience
  • Accreditation in General and Geriatric Medicine - CCT or within 6 months of award
Skills
  • Participation in clinical audit activities
  • Participation in dept/Trust research projects
  • Participation in training and supervision of junior medical staff/medical students
  • Participation in consultant on-call rota
  • Experience of business planning
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
