We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in our primary school.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support and small group work to children with SEND
- Assist with classroom management and support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Work closely with other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Build positive relationships with children and their families, and provide emotional support as needed
- Experience working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
- Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education
- Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
- Patient and empathetic approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have good spoken English
- Minimum of 6 months Primary experience
- Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
