**SEND Support Role Available**

We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This role involves working closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children with their learning, including providing one-to-one support, small group work and assisting with classroom management.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working with children who have SEND and a strong understanding of the principles of inclusive education. You should be patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with children who have SEND
  • Providing one-to-one support and small group work
  • Assisting with classroom management
  • Working closely with the class teacher and other professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
  • Patient and empathetic approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good spoken English
  • Minimum of 6 months Primary experience
  • Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
