Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting and assisting teachers in the classroom, providing individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons to students with SEN
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including adapting teaching materials and techniques
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Management Plans
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure seamless support
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with students with SEN in a UK classroom setting
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
