Job Title: Volunteer Support Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our Volunteer Support Department as a Volunteer Support Officer. In this role, you will provide vital support to our volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and engaging experience with our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the adult volunteer application process, ensuring personnel records are updated accurately on our database.
  • Review and approve applications for the Cadet Forces Medal.
  • Respond to volunteer enquiries received by email, post, and phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administer personnel forms associated with volunteer progression.
Requirements:
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet, and experience with web-based information systems.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused role, handling a wide range of enquiries by phone and email, and challenging situations.
  • Experience with data protection procedures.
Desirable:
  • Experience with database inputting and records maintenance and management.
  • Experience with setting up and using Mail Merge to issue emails or letters.
