We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate volunteer to join our Disability Benefits Team as a Home Visit Volunteer. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to complete complex benefit application forms in the comfort of their own homes.
Our team is committed to making a positive impact in the community, and we believe that this role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting others. You will receive comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete an introduction to Citizens Advice and training for your role.
- Visit clients in their homes to help them complete disability benefit forms.
- Support clients to maximise their benefit income.
- Check carers' entitlement to benefits.
- Provide advice on reducing energy costs.
- Assist clients with accessing priority registers and other support services.
