Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a tailored care plan for individuals, families, and young people facing intricate challenges across various developmental stages, while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary framework.

This role requires the ability to synthesize complex assessment data to produce both verbal and written systemic formulations, facilitating evidence-based clinical interventions for individuals and families dealing with multifaceted issues. This includes the integration and interpretation of diverse complex information across various contexts and levels of significance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the planning, assessment, and review of clinical practices, pathways, and protocols within the service area, leading specific projects as assigned.
  • Manage an individual caseload, assessing and addressing the therapeutic needs of clients and their families diagnosed with eating disorders.
  • Design and implement advanced therapeutic interventions for groups, individuals, families, and professionals, drawing from a wide array of systemic models and complex factors influencing historical and developmental contexts.
  • Provide specialized one-on-one clinical consultations to fellow clinical staff, contributing to the formulation, diagnosis, and intervention strategies for families.
  • Offer expert one-on-one clinical consultations and supervision to clinical staff and trainees on family therapy and systemic psychotherapy techniques, collaborating with team members on individual and group programs as appropriate.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, child protection discussions, and reviews, offering professional insights on individual care planning and other clinical matters as needed.
  • Contribute to complex casework within a multidisciplinary team for individuals experiencing severe psychological challenges.
  • Maintain accurate service records in accordance with Orri's policies.
  • Exercise independent professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of children, young people, and their families.
  • Provide systemic advice, consultation, and training to staff across various agencies and settings as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Adhere to the BACP or UKCP and AFT Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. Completion of an accredited family therapy and systemic psychotherapy training to MSc level is required.
  • Preferred: A minimum of three years post-qualification experience in delivering individual, family, and group therapies, particularly in relevant settings.
  • Prior experience working with clients diagnosed with eating disorders is essential.
  • Maintain a professional portfolio for CPD, documenting learning outcomes from both internal and external development opportunities.
  • Engage in self-reflection and review of practice through effective professional supervision and appraisal.
  • Exhibit advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously.
  • Provide inclusive and culturally competent practice.
  • Ensure adherence to Orri's safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns following the appropriate protocols.
