Information Security Compliance Officer – Contract Opportunity

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Information Security Compliance Officer to join a prominent organization on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the information security compliance framework, conducting compliance audits, performing investigations, and working closely with project management teams to ensure adherence to compliance standards for both ongoing and upcoming initiatives within the cybersecurity division. Your contributions will be crucial in advancing compliance efforts, particularly with a focus on PCI compliance, within a rapidly evolving cybersecurity environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in large organizations as an Information Security Compliance Officer.
  • Expertise in ISO27001 and PCI compliance standards.
  • Strong background in Governance & Risk management, with knowledge of the NIST framework.
  • Prior experience in compliance roles within cybersecurity teams, showcasing technical proficiency.
  • Experience in leading IT audits and managing compliance assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Robust understanding of vendor risk management and conducting data protection impact assessments.

Key Competencies:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of information security policies and procedures.
  • ISO27001 & PCI DSS expertise is required.
  • Experience with auditing software management and review (e.g., AuditBoard).
  • Vendor risk management evaluations aligned with regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to investigate and implement strategies to mitigate phishing risks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project management and educate personnel on security policies.
  • Ability to develop and manage security awareness training programs for staff.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and developing cybersecurity landscape.
