Customs Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Customs Compliance Specialist to join our team at MBDA. As a primary responsibility of this role is to assess, audit, and review the accuracy of HMRC customs entries, your role will be crucial in identifying errors, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement for the business. You will help us to optimise the efficiency and compliance of customs activities across the business and join our journey towards becoming an outstanding Customs team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough customs audits and reviews to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
* Identify and report errors, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and improve customs processes
* Develop and maintain knowledge of HMRC customs regulations, UK Tariff, customs procedures, and related relief schemes

What We're Looking For:

* A proven track record in customs compliance, customs auditing, or a similar role within a corporate environment
* Comprehensive knowledge of HMRC customs regulations, UK Tariff, customs procedures, and related relief schemes
* Someone with a high level of integrity and attention to detail, who can work independently and has excellent communication and reporting skills
* Experience with customs software systems and audit methodologies is an advantage
