Academic Quality Manager

London Business School seeks a highly skilled Academic Quality Manager to join our esteemed institution.
This role requires expertise in quality assurance and enhancement, as well as academic standards, to support the realization of our vision and priorities for teaching and learning.
Main Responsibilities- Quality Framework Development: Support the enhancement and implementation of the academic quality framework, ensuring compliance with internal governance, external regulations, and best practices.
- Policy Development: Develop the online academic quality manual, including carrying out formal reviews of academic policies and procedures, and creating documented policies, procedures, and templates for use by faculty, students, and staff.
- Policy Controls and Record Management: Lead the implementation of policy controls and record management for internal and external audit purposes.
- Student Casework: Lead on the development of policies and procedures for student casework and ensure compliance with external regulations and best practices.
- Student Support: Manage student casework, including liaising with students, staff, and faculty to investigate cases, prepare reports for formal consideration, support academic panels, and provide expert advice to ensure the consistency of procedures, case outcomes, and maintenance of the School's academic standards.
- Data Analysis: Provide data and analysis for reporting purposes and scrutiny, identify trends, and opportunities for enhancements to the academic quality framework.
- Experience: Experience of managing complaints and/or student casework.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to break down technical issues and explain them in layman's terms.
- Technical Skills: Experience of using software related to own area of specialism to extract, analyze, and report on data.
- Project Management: Good project management skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer Service: Positive experience of working within a customer-services-oriented environment.
