About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our team at Expedia Group. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for owning one or more product areas and leading project execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to propose new feature ideas, apply established product strategies, and contribute to the development of new product strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to evolve existing key performance indicators and metrics to discover new opportunities and uses dashboards to monitor and assess team business performance.
  • Define Metrics: Define appropriate ranges for metrics and tell the story of the metric over time to understand when system is behaving normally.
  • Evaluate Metrics: Evaluate metrics to discover insights that build new business opportunities.
  • Weigh Product Scope: Weigh and trade off product scope vs. predicted metrics impact.
  • Translate Insights: Translate insights into action within the team.
  • Develop Frameworks: Develop advanced frameworks to test hypotheses and understand the impact of more complex decisions in various scenarios.
  • Simplify Frameworks: Simplify frameworks and/or make them easier for a broader audience to understand.
  • Align Stakeholders: Use frameworks with some guidance to align stakeholders and leadership on product feature decisions.
  • Inform Product Segmentation: Use user perspective to inform product segmentation and prioritization decisions.
  • Identify Trade-Offs: Identify potential trade-offs across segments taking into account a variety of factors.
  • Develop New Ideas: Partner with stakeholders and manager to develop new ideas for research, testing and feedback loops to better understand and quantify customer pain points.
  • Own Product Areas: Own related product areas.
  • Understand Product Decisions: Understand product and technology decisions, develop the product feature or product roadmap and execute on go-to-market plan.
  • Plan and Facilitate: Plan, facilitate development, releases and measures product feature and/or products cross functionally.
  • Apply Feedback: Apply feedback and data from measurements towards product improvements through test and learns and other testing methodologies.
  • Serve as a Go-To Person: Serve as a go-to person for stakeholders including engineering, design, content, for questions, clarifications and direction.
  • Manage Backlog: Manage backlog for product area and balances new features, bugs and tech debt.
  • Demonstrate Understanding: Demonstrate a critical understanding of functional information and is able to accurately answer relevant questions.
  • Build Functional Material: Build clear, concise and well structured functional material and recommends improvements to existing material.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners.
  • Seek Feedback: Actively seeks diverse feedback on work and anticipates feedback to address it proactively.
  • Lead Discovery: Lead discovery across cross-functional stakeholders to develop understanding of a shared problem, makes suggestions for solutions and recommends which solutions will achieve the most ideal customer or business outcome.
  • Make System Changes: Make system changes leading to desired outcomes that are crafted to scale and ensures reporting (including feedback and/or data loops) is in place to gauge customer, business and system impacts.
