Who You'll Be Supporting & Role Overview:

  • We operate a supported living service with individuals aged between 20 and 50.
  • Our clients face a variety of challenges, supported by a team that helps them live their best lives. These challenges include mental health issues, autism, PDA, and complex learning disabilities.

Additional Information:

  • Our service comprises eight individual flats, with an office for informal discussions. We also have a communal area for games or relaxation, along with a large garden featuring a ping pong table, patio for summer barbecues, and grassy areas for recreational activities.
  • The service is conveniently accessible from the town center with regular bus services.
  • Our location is ideal for the individuals we support, with a friendly local community and numerous activities available.
  • We typically have five colleagues on shift, with potential changes as our service expands. Shifts may be 12 hours long to best support our clients, with day shifts from 7:45 am to 8:15 pm and night shifts from 7:45 pm to 8:15 am, with some flexibility available.
  • We seek candidates with experience in health or social care settings, particularly with individuals facing complex needs. An NVQ or diploma in health and social care is preferred, but all necessary training will be provided by Community Integrated Care.

Your Values:

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification in Social Care and substantial experience in mental health, autism, sensory communication, and physical health.

If you lack formal qualifications, relevant experience in social care is essential.

You should be adept at connecting with individuals and passionate about empowering them to live independently. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor, sharing your skills and experiences with colleagues.

We will nurture your talents through specialized training opportunities, including Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.
