About the Role
We are seeking a Care Support Specialist to provide care and support to individuals in the Sheffield area. As a Care Support Specialist, you will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide personalized care and support to help them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, promoting dignity and respect at all times.
- Support clients to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring that client information is up-to-date and secure.
Requirements
- Experience in care and support work, preferably in a community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a car (for drivers).
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.30 (drivers) - travel time included.
- Shift pay rather than pay per call, allowing you to go Above & Beyond when supporting clients to achieve outcomes.
- Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers.
- Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus.
- Fully funded DBS.
- Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based, 2 days shadowing, and additional online modules.
- Training development: funded Level 2 and other accredited courses.
- Holiday pay: annual leave accumulates with working hours and length of service.
