Lead Palliative Care Nurse

Salary: Competitive salary with enhancements for night shifts and weekends

Location: Sue Ryder St John's Hospice

Hours: Flexible Full and Part Time, including Rotational Shifts

Position Overview:

  • We invite a skilled nurse to become part of our compassionate team at St John's Hospice.
  • This role is ideal for a Senior Registered Nurse passionate about providing exemplary palliative care.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include offering support and guidance to patients and their families during critical times.
  • Key duties encompass managing a 24-hour support line and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • We seek an individual with outstanding assessment, planning, and communication abilities to uphold the highest care standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Registered with the NMC and experienced in palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively within a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a capacity to lead and mentor others.

  • Familiarity with SystemOne software is advantageous.
  • Experience in the independent healthcare sector is a plus.
