The role of the Creative Design Coordinator involves supporting the design team in organizing and managing samples effectively. This position is crucial for establishing a streamlined workflow that contributes to the development of a cohesive and marketable product range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logging, verifying, and displaying incoming samples and correspondence for the design team.
  • Updating the design critical path with accurate sample intake dates and progress stages for all styles.
  • Assisting the design team in the creation of technical packs for developed styles, including precise measurements of prints and details for approval.
  • Maintaining the fabric library by cataloging new materials and ensuring the removal of outdated or unavailable books.
  • Compiling sourcing packs for new fabric requirements and following up with suppliers as necessary.
  • Preparing meeting spaces for approvals and range planning discussions, organizing and labeling samples accordingly.
  • Managing the shoot rails and selecting appropriate samples for e-commerce and promotional photography.
  • Providing assistance during photo shoots as required.
  • Taking detailed and accurate notes during meetings, particularly during fit sessions and design development discussions, for the team's reference.
  • Ensuring that all storage areas, including rails, files, and drawers, are well-organized and up-to-date.
  • Creating fit briefings for designers, which include a list of samples for fitting and any issues to address regarding the samples.
  • Supporting the design team with trend analysis, gathering inspiration, and developing color palettes.
  • Producing competitive shopping reports for the design team based on online and in-store visuals.
  • Communicating with suppliers to resolve any design-related inquiries.
  • Offering additional administrative support to the design team as needed.
