Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Marketing Director to lead our national sales and marketing team and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our sales and marketing strategy, delivering on the sales and marketing budget, and overseeing the build of brand awareness and loyalty with both trade and the consumer.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the national sales and marketing team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to deliver results.
  2. Develop, gain agreement, and implement strategic plans in line with established performance criteria and overall strategy, driving business growth and revenue.
  3. Deliver on the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving set targets.
  4. Oversee the development of customer-facing presentations and packages for events such as exhibitions, trade events, and showroom displays, showcasing our products and services.
  5. Influence new sales opportunities and initiatives within the market sectors, identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
  6. Ensure company sales and profit targets are achieved, setting and monitoring key performance indicators for both sales and marketing.
  7. Carry out analysis of customers, sales areas, and cost effectiveness of initiatives, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  8. Establish and maintain excellent business contacts with key customers across all sectors, promoting the Intergas Brand and driving sales growth.
  9. Oversee the negotiation of commercial agreements, contracts, and annual terms with customers and suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships.
  10. Work closely with the MD and senior managers on strategy, budgeting, and planning, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making.
  11. Meet with the sales and marketing team on a regular basis to present and assess performance against KPIs, driving improvement and growth.
  12. Present performance and results to senior management team on a monthly basis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  13. Capitalise and promote the USPs and strength of the company's product range and brand, identifying market opportunities where appropriate with existing and new products.
  14. Ensure the company has an effective sales and marketing training program, implementing best practices throughout the department.
  15. Proactive market research and prospecting, staying ahead of the competition and identifying new business opportunities.
  16. Marketing experience, knowledge, and vision-crafting, driving business growth and revenue.
  17. Creative in existing and new sales channel delivery models, identifying innovative ways to drive sales and growth.
  18. Proven sales and marketing management track record, with a strong commercial understanding and brand building awareness.
  19. Self-starter, good communicator, and team player, with adept computer skills and analytical abilities.

Location

The company is based in Kidderminster, with the successful candidate based at the office with time spent out in the field when required. Occasional travel abroad may be necessary to attend meetings and conferences.
