About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Manchester. As a Crisis Care Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our core CAMHS and other Mental Health Services across the system to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people.
  • Conduct psycho-social and risk assessments to identify strategies and creative interventions to help children and young people participate in normal family and community activities.
  • Develop and implement care plans that ensure timely discharge and promote positive outcomes for young people's mental health needs.
  • Work independently with the support of clinical and management supervision to maintain clinical records and follow policy and procedures.

Requirements
  • Relevant core professional qualification in mental health (Nurse, Social worker or Occupational Therapist)
  • Qualifications in Psychological Therapies e.g. CBT / SFT/ IPT Mentorship course ENB998 or equivalent
  • Up to date knowledge of child mental health and relevant legislation
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and the ability to demonstrate how this influences clinical practice
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, part-time, flexible working, compressed hours role with a competitive salary of £37,338 to £44,962 per annum (pro rata). The successful candidate will be required to work across the Rapid Response and Home Intensive treatment team, with shifts including weekends and evenings.
